The Bulgarian computers from the Pravetz series were
named after the home town of Todor Zhivkov (the leader of communist
Bulgaria in the last years of communism). Initially these computers were
named IMKO (Individualen Mikro KOmputer, Individual
Micro COmputer) and were developed in the Institute for Technical
Cybernetics and Robotics, part of the Bulgarian Academy of Science. The
name Pravetz is the name under which these computers were traded once
they left the laboraties. >>>
